our fridge 1.16.10..."nothing clarifies the mind like beer & failure, except perhaps hunger"

First I must write down a quote from Anthony Bourdain we heard yesterday and we both burst out laughing..."nothing clarifies the mind like beer & failure, except perhaps hunger" quoted from his show No Reservations...very funny and often true.
Okay...while I relax and write while smelling the aromas of Scott cooking our pasta & shrimp dinner...I had the silly thought to document our fridge as it is today...just as the guys on "the ticket" radio show did the other day...hilarious and curiously interesting.

Okay, here goes: top shelf: eggs, baby yogurt, cilantro, nonfat plain yogurt, milk, artichoke, peeled & deveined shrimp for tonights dinner (i did those:), lemon, roasted whole almonds...can't see what's in the way back since I'm looking at the pics and not the fridge itself. shelf two:romaine, deli chix, roasted garlic, mousse pudding cups, bell peppers.  shelf three: 100% cran/pom juice, broccoli, cottage cheese, greek yogurt, bacon drippings, lots of butter (for toffee that I was hoping to make at Christmas, that will now be for Valentines, hopefully), cream cheese way in the back.  Right hand bottom drawer: carrots, grana padano cheese, flax seeds. Left drawer: carrots, baby bella mushrooms, ground almonds, tollhouse cookies. Realized I forgot the middle drawer, but I think there is sliced cheddar and a few other yummies.

The door: butter! capers, chicken base, candied jalepenos, hoisin, soy, vinegar, relish, mustard, homemade (grandma's) chow chow, jalepenos, olives, fish sauce, sweet chili sauce, Frank's hot sauce, sesame oil, bbq sauce, homemade balsamic, mayo, ketchup.

The freezer: chix nuggets, cajun froz dinner, lots of roasted hatch chilis, pesto, chix breasts, garlic bread, italian bread, tilapia, fruit for smoothies, corn, shrimp shells (so they won't stink before trash day).
Freezer door: parmesean rind, hatch chilis, "dirt", coffee, cream cheese frosting, ice packs, frozen glasses, roasted pecans, & who knows what else.

Okay, now the pantry: top shelf: cranberry sauce (jellied kind...makes me crave a turkey sandwich), cran/raspb juice, sugar, potato starch, sweetners, flour, powdered milk. shelf two: baking stuff: vanilla, sprinkles, etc, enchilada sauce, cream of mush soup, cream sherry, panko, choc chips, popcorn, almonds, mini chocolates. Shelf three: lots of spices & sauces, balsamic vinegar, onions, dry beans, pasta.  Shelf four: sushi rice, sugar, baking stuff, crisco, olive oil, canola oil, choc milk syrup

counter top: tomatoes, squash, bread, sweet taters

bottled water sitting on our currently non working washer

french bread

and bananas
I feel like I've just done an episode of "Cribs" where they look in your fridge...I find it interesting at least, which is all that matters.

I so have those Costco tumblers at my house too...the red one in the top pic...lol

Oh, and could you come clean my fridge and make it look shiny like yours?

When are we gonna combine culinary visions and merge our two kitchens under the same roof??? :)

Still waiting...and waiting...and waiting...
