One of our most favorite meals, a variation of my mom's chinese chicken salad...and the dressing is the key.  this is the recipe that my 81 year old grandmother calls me for!  she loves the dressing and loses it sometimes, so she calls for it.  so precious.  chinese chicken salad recipe you can really throw anything in here with your favorite greens...texture is the key.  you need crunch, freshness and the sweet, salty, sour dressing...and a sweet grandma to share it with.

Our fresh basil is a must on summer sandwiches.  I like a half...Scott a whole.  Rotissiere style roast chicken breast deli slices, mustard, american cheese (boars head), s&p, fresh tomato.  Smear bread with a thin layer of butter and grill in pan over medium heat...till golden.  Serve with crunchy chips and a pickle of course.  Heavenly and no cooking in the hot of summer...not really cooking to just grill a sammie.  grilled sammies and Scott's tomato soup recipe
