awesome tequila...about 30$ and worth it...for sipping fries, steak and wedge Scott's coconut shrimp Kirkland margaritas on to the cheap tequila about 2 oz of this magic mix from Costco (has wine in it) mixed with about the same of tequila, give or take...extra lime wedge and pinch of salt. YUM!  our new favorite. and tthis huge bottle is 8.99! bbq chicken pulled pork sammies with the pork from costco bye bye rita

9.18.2011 Wedgie Salad, steak & leftover mac n cheese...or shall I say MAC N CHEESE

A Wedgie salad...more chopped up than a wedge salad, but same ingredients...iceberg lettuce, roma tomato, blue cheese crumbles & dressing, freshly ground black pepper...topped with shaved Irish Cheddar cheese left over from making the mac Scott needs his protein...so some little pieces of steak, seared and seasoned with Essence...beautifully pink..I know these made fabulous left overs the next day...probably his breakfast leftover CraZ MAC n CHEESE...I had it for lunch the next day too...oh my :)

coated in a mix of paprika, s&p, brown sugar...maybe garlic powder Sear the steak on high heat (on grill)...we use cast iron skillet...sear about 4 or so min a side (edges too) and then in oven for about 15 min at 350...YUM! potatoes that I roasted in olive oil at high heat and added asparagus to roast at the end...sooo good!   homemade blue cheese dressing over a wedge 1 cup mayonnaise - real, such as Kraft 1 cup sour cream 6 oz (3/4 cup) crumbled mild blue cheese 1 tablespoon lemon juice kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

cooking dinner with Chef John and Kim

objects in picture even more delicious than they appear Scott's assisting our friend Chef John and his wife Kim today at catering/team building event. I can't wait to hear how it goes. I'm at home working on the computer...but daydreaming of the meal they are eating. Fortunately I got to eat it already:) They invited us over for a dress rehearsal of the menu the other night and we had so much fun. I was entirely too full by the end of the night...but how could I turn any of it down?! The menu: Wedge salad with freshly made blue cheese dressing, bacon bits and tomato, (Kim and I worked on this one). Perfectly pan crusted Filet with Cognac cream sauce...that we wanted to take a swim in...oh a loaf of french bread soaked in that sauce could be a last meal.
