Dad had moved in for a while, so we had to make his amazing cinnamon toast! Mix almost equal parts sugar and cinnamon,to taste. Slather your favorite bread with butter and top with a healthy sprinkle of sugar mix.  Broil till melty and crispy. I've heard that mixing the sugar mix with the butter works great too. Defrosting our hatch chiles for the Chile Verde!  My most favorite chile ever! Click for our recipe   

 Bourbon braised pork shank with roasted vegies (mushrooms, leeks, crispy brussel sprouts) over....wait for it....cheesy gorgonzola polenta!   It looked like a sculpture when it came out!  We shared it...to die for, rich and tender. We had a groupon and wanted to go out...this was perfect.  A tiny table for two right next to the bar.  It was early evening, so it was very quiet.  We finished the night with frozen yogurt.  A relaxing summer dinner...with some really fat raindrops as we walked out to the car.
