Pot & Cover

This summer is all about being out of school, putting on new roofs and our new home.   Just ordered these amazingly cute coasters.  We are all rednecks at heart and love a mini pallet! One of our new haunts in Van A.  A cute little hole in the wall Mexican place called El Patio...about 2 min from our house. A ring on the brand new marble in the master bath...the result of serving a cold cerveza and lime dribbled on the counter...and it is haggling me!  i'm trying all sorts of solutions and it is evading me so far.   martha stewart i am NOT. Watermelon strawberry margarita attempts...I'm always a willing cocktail guinea pig some decor pics of the new house as we settle in and figure out where to put our stuff.  the dining room pub table with my favorite pumpkins our beautiful simple backyard, where the weeds are haggling me. the living room in process...see all my shrapnel from researching and ha...

lemon butter shrimp with angel hair Scott arrived home last nite...we met at B.J.'s for a drink and late nite snack...then home to sleep soundly and up for a day together!  A visit to mom & dad's...dad's buzzed hair and disappearing eyebrows, which mom hates..."don't talk to me right now!"...and mom recreating an infamous "flashing" moment with Scott...all to our amusement (how do you spell that word?)...then off to PTF (Plano Tortilla Factory) for Migas...then Costco for supplies & upgraded bedding...and off to meet Dad & Ee at the spa so the could work on my shelving etc....then the rest of the day with my Scottie (which he prefers I don't call him, but I can't help it)...noted the historic win for Spain in the World Cup...off to the store to purchase ingredients for lemon butter (& caper) shrimp...beer for the pool.  Earl Campbell sausage was added to the mix...and off to the pool to toss the little football and fight off t...

we love to make salads with lots of great ingredients topped with our homemade balsamic dressing...tonight it was little succulent shrimp, chopped roasted chix breast, chopped roasted almonds, tomato, cucumber, mandarin oranges, tender spinach & crunchy romaine, parmesean shavings... the chix, oranges, tomato and cucumber marinating in the dressing now for the greens! shrimp marinating in the dressing parm shavings and chopped roasted almonds (my favorite part!) we had an afternoon rain and a fabulously beautiful full rainbow too...God is so good to us.
